On the Kererū Flightpath

When a well positioned neighbouring property came on the market, it gave an active retired couple the opportunity to take on another renovation project in familiar surroundings.

The house was a patchwork of styles from different eras, and required a major re-configuration to rationalise it’s layout and create an energy efficient dwelling.

A new garage with internal access was the only increase to the existing footprint of the house. A cosy living area to the west now opens to the front garden.

The combined living, kitchen and dining areas are now wonderfully light, with panoramic views out to the north over Wellington city and to the east over Zealandia.
