A boggy inner city backyard gave a photographer the opportunity to realise his dream of creating a warm, intimate, light-filled studio.
The project efficiently maximises space, with the flexibility to shoot with beautifully filtered daylight; or block this completely and have the full control of artificial lighting.
Excavating the site gives a high ceiling to accommodate lighting rigs, without penetrating the height control envelope that would have triggered a resource consent, and has dramatically improved site drainage.
