In the early 1990s, whilst travelling overseas, I was lucky enough to get work with the English landscape designers Bannerman Design. At the time they were working on the restoration of an English Watergarden and nearby Dairy Building for Lord Rothschild.
The Dairy Building was built at the end of the 19th Century for Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild to house his prize winning cattle, but had fallen into disrepair and the James Pulham watergarden was only rediscovered in 1989.
I was part of a small team involved in restoring the Dairy Building for use as Lord Rothschild’s country office. Today it is a popular wedding venue.
